Verrucae and Warts

47BarefootWalkingVerrucae are very common and can generally be self-treated with “over the counter solutions” from a pharmacist. However, some verrucae are stubborn and instead need professional attention. In such cases we offer:

  • Dry Needling where the verruca is broken down using needles. Whilst the patient is under local anesthetic we take a small amount of the verruca to a deeper layer of the skin, allowing the body to recognise and attack it.

  • Cryotherapy  uses liquid nitrogen to freeze the verruca and remove it. Local Anesthetic is used if required.

We also have a partnership with a Swift™ Microwave Therapy practitioner and can refer suitable patients to them, to be seen within our Practice
